What is included in the Professional Year Program?
Thirty-two weeks of structured coursework covering Australian business communication, teamwork and workplace culture, plus twelve weeks of internship with a host organisation. Career coaching, interview preparation and industry networking events run alongside the program.
How long does the Professional Year take?
The program runs for 44 weeks in total across the ACS, EA and CPA Australia and CA ANZ streams. Enrolments open several times a year, so we align your start date with your 485 visa validity.
Who is the program for?
Accounting, Information Technology and Engineering graduates of recognised Australian qualifications who hold a Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa with the required remaining validity and the relevant English score.
How much does the Professional Year cost?
Program fees vary by stream and provider, generally sitting between AUD 11,000 and AUD 14,000 including the internship placement. Payment plans across the 44 weeks are usually available.
How many PR points does the Professional Year add?
Successful completion of a Professional Year Program in your nominated stream contributes five points to your SkillSelect score. Points are claimed at the time of Expression of Interest.
